Autumn Trend

I am nearly finished designing my new house and it has now come down to choosing the finishings. I love this dark blue colour as my base and am going to mix it up with different shades of greys. I have also just put up a timber clad wall (below) using old shipping crates, adding warmth to the glass and concrete. 

THE BEST GREEN JUICE

I found this recipe in 'It's All Good', Gwyneth Paltrow's new cookbook. I was kind of scared to try this 'green monster' but it tastes DELICIOUS! Start your day off with this super amazing green juice, for all the nutrients and health benefits have it before breakfast. YUM!

Serves 1:

5 large kale/spinach leaves, stems discarded, leaves roughly chopped

1 lemon, zest and pith removed (otherwise it becomes bitter)

1 large apple, roughly chopped

A 1 inch piece of fresh ginger

1 sprig of mint

1 stalk of celery, leaves and end removed

1 inch section of cucumber 

Anything thats green, put it in... Push through your juicer and drink immediately with ice. (For added benefits/fibre don't strain it).

Vintage wine crates are an easy sustainable design idea for your home. Simply put them on the wall and use them as shelving or put them outside and use them as a living wall or plant pot.
